Hinsdale Showhouse Master Bath: Our goal was to take a large sleeping porch and create a luxurious contemporary bath that looked like it had always been there. To give the room a vintage look, we used twin mahogany washstands, painted cabinetry, hand made tiles and classic plumbing fixtures. The cabinetry purposely doesn’t match, to give it that "added to over time" feeling. Some materials are luxurious – the nickel sinks and faucets, the oversize steam shower and the fanciful ceramic tile border. Yet other materials are more humble – the tumbled marble floor, the classic tile and the whirlpool.
